As a Founding Chapter Leader with Premise, you’ll be at the forefront of creating spaces for rich, meaningful conversations that challenge assumptions and inspire reflection. Whether in-person in your community or online, you'll foster intellectual and emotional connections and help busy adults live a a richer life of the mind. Premise operates as a cooperative business, meaning you'll share in the company’s success. What You'll Gain

Premise is founded on a long tradition of discussion-based learning, from Socratic seminars to French salons and the Saturday Nighters groups of the Harlem Renaissance. We believe it's possible (and preferable!) to explore philosophy, literature, and history without pretension or elitism.

Are you a curious and community-focused organizer? Do you want to create opportunities for people in your community and lead a more examined life? We are seeking Premise Founding Chapter Leaders for our online and in-person sessions.

    • Mary Finn, Premise’s founder, will contact you to set up a 30-45 minute meeting.

    • We’ll discuss the Chapter Lead role, the growth of Premise, and the cooperative/profit-sharing model.

    • You’ll have the chance to ask any questions you may have.

    • This meeting is an opportunity to explore whether joining as a Founding Chapter Leader is the right fit for you.
